The city of Berkeley, Mo. adopted the International Residential Code, 2009 edition, including including Appendices A—K, N—Q. Berkeley, Mo. Muni. Code, § 500.010-A (adopted) with amendments at § 500.010-C.

Section R301.2(1) Insert: Wind speed 70 mph, Seismic Design Category 2, weathering severe, frostline depth 30 inches, termite moderate to heavy, decay slight to moderate, winter design temperature -5°F and floor hazard X.

Existing Buildings

Existing buildings, meaning buildings that were built in accordance to code at the time of construction, typically merit extra consideration in a current updated code.
